owl tuque pattern
Here we have the Owl Tuque pattern for you! I knit the original for Lev back in the Spring, but people kept asking for the pattern, so I finally decided to write it up. However, since I do pretty well from the sales of my toy patterns, I thought it would be nice to use this pattern to raise a little money for something we enjoy and support. The Montreal Ecomuseum is an educational wildlife park operated by the Saint Lawrence Valley Natural History Society. Two dollars of the price of the pattern will be donated to the Ecomuseum to help them take care of the animals there.
The pattern will only be available on Ravelry, since it's easier for me to keep track of the sales in one place. It's designed in three baby sizes (newborn, 6 months, 12 months), but if you're a bit clever you should be able to alter the pattern to fit an older child or adult. I knit the original from Estelle Cloud Cotton Eco, which makes for a great Autumn-weight hat, and there should be enough in one skein to make 2 hats. Though, there are plenty of lovely soft chunky yarns that would work just as well. I hope you all enjoy the pattern!

clarification
There seems to be a bit of confusion over the new Siamese Kitty pattern, so I'd like to clear that up so we all have fewer troubles as I update more of my original patterns.
If you bought the Siamese Kitty pattern or the "Fuzzy Knits" book (not "Festive Knits") from Lulu, you need to forward me a copy of the receipt so I know you purchased the pattern. The thank-you note or your order number won't work because Lulu doesn't let me see individual purchases. Sorry to be a bit pedantic, but it saves us all time and energy to get it straight :)
If you bought the Siamese Kitty pattern on Etsy, I should still have your original transaction notice, so I just need your Etsy username to look it up.
Only the new version of the pattern has been available on Ravelry, so anyone who bought it there doesn't need to worry :)
If you have any questions please leave a comment so we can clear up any other points here where everyone can see them.
Edit: Someone had the great idea that if you no longer have your receipt, just email me a copy of the old pattern. That way I know you bought the original.

pug pattern
At long last, the Pug pattern is available to you! You can find it on Ravelry, Etsy, or Lulu. This is an intermediate level pattern. Skills required include a variety of increases and decreases, intarsia, and seaming. The anorak can be knit without seams by working the sleeves in the round. If you notice any mistakes, please let me know, and I'll post the corrections here. I hope you all enjoy the pattern!
Now I'll stop hanging around in front of the computer, and go enjoy the sunshine by planting some bulbs. I hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

siamese kitty
If it's been a wee bit quiet here the last week, that's because Lev and I have both been fighting a nasty cold. It's the first time he's been sick, and he's certainly not enjoying it! I'm feeling quite rotten too, so it's been difficult to get much work done (cleaning, cooking, or knitting).
I've noticed a few chipmunks on Ravelry already. Way to go! I'm glad everyone is enjoying the pattern (and no corrections yet *crossing my fingers*). In case you missed it, we updated the Siamese Kitty pattern. If you'd like the new version, you just need to email me a copy of your receipt for the original pattern or Fuzzy Knits. If you give me your Ravelry username, I can send the pattern to you there, or I will just email it to you. (barbara at fuzzymitten . com)

owl tuque
I think I may need a slight break from all the toys lately. That would explain why I suddenly got all excited about writing up the Owl Tuque* pattern, although it might also be because the old one doesn't fit Lev any more (darn babies growing all the time). I picked up some more of the same yarn in a lovely autumn orange, but I might be looking for something else in soft wool, just to see the difference. I wrote it all out last night, but I decided to make a couple changes from the original to make it a little simpler to follow, and to make it possible to add 2 more sizes. The only difficulty I'm having is deciding between a rolled brim, which is nice to roll down over baby ears, or a seed-stitch brim to match the rest of the hat. I'm going with the rolled brim for now, but I welcome any input!
Another bonus of the yarn I chose (besides being super soft and organic) is that it's chunky, so the hat knits up super fast!
*for non-Canadians, a tuque is a warm winter hat.

short delay
There will be a short delay in the release of the new Chipmunk and Pug patterns, since some family stuff has come up that's prevented us from working on them. My parents are here visiting, all the way from BC, because I have two new nephews! My sister gave birth to twins early this morning, so the next few days will be spent visiting, and then helping them get settled at home. So, I'm sure you can understand the delay in the new patterns!
